Eligibility and Funding

APPLICATION FOR THE RSSSO 2015 IS CLOSED AS FOR THE APRIL 10, 2015

We invite participation from the students who are enthusiastic about science, technology and biology, have “quantitative” mindset, and are curious to learn new things. Applications are invited from students who have completed their 2nd or 3rd year of studies in biology-related fields (although applications from students at a different year and/or specialization will be considered as well). Previous participation in math/physics/programming olympiads and conferences and/or study at a specialized high school are desirable but all candidates enthusiastic about science, technology and biology will be considered. English proficiency and basic knowledge of R programming are required. A suggested reading list is available in the "HOW TO APPLY" section.

Most of the costs of the School will be covered by the Organizers but students are expected to pay their travel and to partly pay for accommodation expenses (the current estimate is ~300 euro). To cover these costs, we advise you to seek financial support from your country/university. Subject to available funds, a limited number of scholarships (in the form of reduced fee and/or covering of travel expenses) may be awarded to a few outstanding candidates who cannot afford the payment for the School otherwise.
